NFTs –– A regrettable time for many, myself included. My foray into crypto was when I really stepped away from professional advertising life. What started out as what I believed to be a way to capitalize and cash in on the “digital art” I’d spent so many years making soon devolved into flipping garbage JPEGs, lurking in Discords and churning out drek. Truly sick stuff. By the time I had my fill I was burnt out on working with the computer entirely and began my sojourn into flowers. Lucky for us all,
as mentioned, I’m back, baby. ‘Twas but a respite.
This project and launch video marked the nadir of my crypto journey and I was finished shortly thereafter. Toast. The project/video was pretty thorough in summing up the whole scene at the time. Chilling stuff. (I strangely love the video)
If nothing else, this chapter proved I could sorta figure anything out. This was a pfp (profile picture) project I did where I made thousands of variations of this guy with a bunch of procreate/photoshop layers and a python script. I then learned how to make/modify smart contracts to put the project online on a very sick interactive website where, wisely, very few people purchased the JPEGs.
